[ARCHIVED] Conservation Commission Seeks Members for Open Space and Recreation Plan Working Group

IMG_7610

The Chelmsford Conservation Commission is leading the development of a new version of the Chelmsford Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP). We are looking for members to serve on this Working Group. There will be two members from the Conservation Commission, one member from the Planning Board, one member from the Select Board, and two residents with a general interest, and two with recreational-specific interest (e.g., active sports, playgrounds, rail trail, etc.).

Open spaces and recreation areas are resources that contribute to the quality of life in Chelmsford. The Open Space and Recreation Plan is a guidance tool for maintenance, improvement, acquisition, and accessibility of these resources for the residents of Chelmsford, as well as members from surrounding communities.

For reference, the most recent version of the Open Space and Recreation Plan can be found on the Chelmsford Conservation Commission home page under "Documents."

The expected involvement will be a series of planning meetings, likely a month or so apart, with offline work shared across the group. This activity should take approximately one year to complete. We will have the assistance of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG) to guide us during this process.

Interested applicants should contact David Koonce, Chelmsford Conservation Agent at dkoonce@chelmsfordma.gov, or 978 250-5231 x2; or Karl Bischoff, Conservation Commission Chair, at kbisch10@gmail.com by March 15th.
