About the Training Division
It is the mission of the Chelmsford Fire Department Training Division to provide the highest quality and most progressive education and training to ensure our personnel can safely and effectively deliver exceptional service in all risk-related disciplines.
The responsibilities of the Training Division include:
- Company level training
- New hire training/drill school
- EMS continuing education
- Officer development
- Record keeping of materials for ISO and OEMS
- Student Cadet Firefighter Program
- Serve as Incident Safety Officer
Training Staff
The Training Division is led by the Training Division Captain, who is responsible for the development, scheduling, and implementation. This includes facilitating coordinated training with partner organizations including mutual aid agencies. The position of EMS Assistant provides EMS training, delivering continuing education courses, manages record keeping, and assists in EMS compliance and state ambulance inspection.
